Judith Riess, PhD, Editor in Chief
Judith has been Editor in Chief of Medical Training (MEdSim) Magazine since its inception and has worked in healthcare for more than 20 years. As a globally experienced leader in education, training, strategic planning and program analysis, she brings knowledge and strengths from working with different healthcare groups which includes 35 years experience in medical simulation, curriculum development groups & design, training, strategic planning, and improving education and training effectiveness.
Marty Kauchak, Group Editor
Marty Kauchak is a retired US Navy Captain, having served for more than 23 years in the surface warfare community. His insights and knowledge about training and simulation were assignments and major staff management positions. In addition to Marty’s military experience, he brings expertise as a former editor and writer for publications in the US and overseas. He also developed unique perspectives and knowledge about training during his time as congressional and media outreach coordinator for the US DoD’s Training Transformation Program. Marty is based in New Orleans.
Lori Ponoroff, Group News Editor
Lori Ponoroff writes and posts news articles to all three of Halldale Group’s websites, edits the news section of Medical Training Magazine (MTM) and writes feature articles for MTM. Lori has more than 20 years’ experience in electronic and print news and feature writing, developing marketing and communications collateral, employee and media relations, public relations, event planning and brand-management counselling.
Christopher Bobo, Industry Reporter
Christopher Bobo writes news and feature articles for Medical Training Magazine and Military Training & Simulation Magazine. He studied journalism at the University of Central Florida before joining the Halldale team in August 2017. His work has been published in over half a dozen publications, including Florida Today, covering a variety of topics such as game development, cancer research and simulation technology.
