St. Vincent opens new Healthcare Education and Simulation Center

St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana opened the $13.6 million William K. Nasser, MD Healthcare Education and Simulation Center, named after the late Indiana heart surgeon who helped popularize heart catheterization. The 45,000 square-foot facility is open to physicians, residents and healthcare professionals from St. Vincent Ascension and other health organizations seeking interactive, high-fidelity patient simulation (HPS) training using computer-enhanced mannequins, cadaver labs, task trainers and the latest techniques in patient care. The simulation suites, anatomic labs and multi-purpose classrooms support a variety of educational programs for large and small groups.
