This helps prevent dehydration. Dehydration can cause serious problems. Severe dehydration may require hospitalization to be treated with intravenous fluids (IV or IV). Beware of dehydration in children infected with norovirus. A dehydrated child may cry with little or no tears and may be unusually sleepy or fussy. Call your doctor if you or someone you love seems to be severely dehydrated.
