Limbs & Things Launching New Products at IMSH
Limbs & Things will be launching new products, including the Paracentesis Trainer and the Compression Suture Uterus Module for the PROMPT Flex Birthing Simulator at the International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) this month in Los Angeles. The company will showcase these training aids along with the its Chest Drain & Needle Decompression Trainer that is suitable for use in the American College of Surgeons’ Advanced Trauma Life Support® (ATLS®) Courses.
The Paracentesis Trainer fulfills the fundamental component of core medical training in diagnostic and therapeutic techniques of Paracentesis, for either palpation or ultrasound guided techniques and is designed for post-graduate medical training.
The Compression Suture Uterus Module for the PROMPT Flex Birthing Simulator allows for the practice of all common types of compression sutures as well as ligating the uterine artery.
The Chest Drain & Needle Decompression Trainer can simulate needle decompression of a tension pneumothorax at both the 2nd and 5th intercostal space. The company says its ATLS range of products offer a cost-effective solution to the simulation equipment needed for the ATLS 10th edition guidelines that will be released this year by the American College of Surgeons.
Limbs & Things staff will be at Booth #417 and will have stations set up for personal hands-on time with the trainers.
