Surgical Theater made its first international debut of the Precision VR Enterprise Solution at DMEA in Berlin, Germany. DMEA is Europe’s largest event in the healthcare IT industry and provides Surgical Theater with an opportunity to feature the economic value of Precision VR and its scalability utilized as an Enterprise Solution.
Surgical Theater’s Enterprise Solution enables hospitals to achieve deployment on a system-wide scale, including satellite locations. The solution may now be connected to the hospital’s network while complying with its security policies. All 360-degree VR cases are stored in the hospital’s data center and are accessible by any Precision VR Application on the network. It offers an intuitive and immersive approach to patient engagement, surgical planning, resident education and multidisciplinary collaboration for neuro, spine, ENT, thoracic, cardiac, and various digestive health applications (i.e.: Pancreatic Cancer).
Precision VR is a 360-degree virtual reality technology that allows surgeons to walk inside their patients’ anatomy. The models are constructed and rendered based upon the patient’s CT and MRI scans culminating in a patient-specific 360-degree virtual tour, which can be a shared VR experience for senior surgeons and residents in training to create the surgical plan.
