Residency Program Receives Accreditation
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine’s Department of Otolaryngology residency program has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
The program, which was established in 2015, trains physicians to treat or manage disorders and diseases of the ear, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck. Tech’s Otolaryngology residency program will equip the School of Medicine to provide the community with better health care, according to an HSC news release
“With a residency program, our department will be equipped to provide a better education and better health care,” Joehassin Cordero, chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology, said in the release. “This provides our community better care because there will be more access to physicians. We will have the ability to see more patients in the long run.”
